Report an issue
Email newsroom@orientgazette.com with “Correction request” in the subject. Include the article link, the passage or image in question, an explanation of the concern, and supporting sources if available. Please do not send passwords, identity documents or unrelated private information.
Editorial review
The Editor in Chief or an assigned editor should review the original material and available evidence, and consult the writer or relevant sources when needed. The outcome depends on what that review establishes. A disagreement with a clearly labelled opinion does not by itself establish a factual error.
Correcting the record
When a substantive factual error is confirmed, correct the article and add a visible, dated correction note explaining what changed. Clarifications should identify the point being clarified. Minor spelling, punctuation or formatting repairs that do not change meaning may be made without a separate note.
A substantial update should be distinguished from the original publication date. If a story must be withdrawn because its central claims cannot be supported, provide an explanation where appropriate instead of silently replacing its claims with a different story.
Attribution and image concerns
If you believe a passage or image lacks permission or correct attribution, identify the work and your relationship to it, with a source link if available. The newsroom should review the credit and permissions and correct or remove the affected material when warranted.
