Camarines Sur: Water at the Foot of Isarog
Malabsay Falls offers a close view of the province’s mountain and forest landscape.
Camarines Sur’s scenery includes coastlines, agricultural plains and mountains. Mount Isarog is one of its defining natural landmarks, with forested slopes that are important to the surrounding environment.
Malabsay Falls, near Naga, is among the familiar attractions associated with the mountain. Water drops into a rocky pool within a green setting, offering a contrast with the nearby city. Isarog is classified by PHIVOLCS as an active volcano, despite the quiet appearance of many of its landscapes.
The province is also part of Bicol’s rich food culture. Pili nuts, prepared in sweets and other products, are among the flavors travelers often bring home. A visit can therefore move easily between natural scenery and the everyday pleasures of a market or a shared snack.
