Rizal’s proximity to Metro Manila can make it easy to overlook the province’s own cultural character. Its towns are associated with artists, local celebrations and traditions that give public spaces a distinctive sense of place.
Angono is especially closely identified with art. Works encountered in galleries, studios and community settings invite attention to the relationship between creativity and everyday life. Festivals and religious observances offer another expression of that local imagination.
Beyond the towns, places such as Daraitan and the Tinipak River reveal a different landscape of hills, rock and water.
