Bukidnon: A Green Mountain Landscape
Highland ridges and agricultural valleys give this inland province a distinctive sense of space.
Bukidnon’s identity is closely tied to its uplands. Mountains rise above agricultural valleys, creating a landscape in which broad views and cultivated land often appear together.
The Kitanglad and Kalatungan ranges are among its important mountain environments. Peaks and ridges such as Dulang-Dulang, Panimahawa and Capistrano have become familiar names among people drawn to the highlands, although each place has its own conditions and arrangements for access.
The province also offers recreation around Dahilayan, but its appeal is not limited to organized activities. A journey through Bukidnon reveals working farms, settlements and forested slopes as parts of the same setting. Its green scenery is both a natural environment and a landscape lived in by the communities who call the province home.
